Mid-Hudson ChapterEvents View the latest events from this chapter.Welcome to the web page of the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work. The Mid-Hudson Chapter includes NYSSCSW members living and/or practicing in five counties: Dutchess, Putnam, Orange, Ulster and Sullivan and Ulster Counties in the Mid-Hudson Valley Region. The Mid-Hudson Chapter Board offers its members the services of its Membership Committee, Education Committee and its Peer Consultation Group. The Mid-Hudson Chapter Board meets four times annually (typically, in September, November, February and April or May). Members are welcome to attend Board meetings and to participate in all Mid-Hudson Chapter activities. The Mid-Hudson Chapter offers quarterly clinical training workshops. Its Peer Consultation Group for licensed social workers and other licensed community mental health professionals meets monthly in Poughkeepsie. Elkin, MSW, LMSW Our Membership Committee provides programs to inform and support the Chapter membership. It organizes programs to provide opportunity for networking among members of the Chapter.
Education Committee:Our Education Committee plans, coordinates and implements the Chapter’s quarterly clinical training workshops which offer attendees the NY State Education Department Approved continuing education credits, You may check the NYSSCSW ACE (Advanced Clinical Education Foundation) website for information about the Mid-Hudson Chapter scheduled workshops, and to register online for a workshop. Cynthia Muenz, MSW, LCSW, Chair, Education Committee Peer Consultation Group: The Peer Consultation Group provides a setting where licensed clinical social workers and other licensed mental health professionals, who practice independently according to NY State Education Department regulations, meet in a supportive environment to share, discuss and explore cases and issues which they encounter in clinical practice. Meetings are held during the second Friday morning of each month year round.
