New Professionals Task Force

New Professionals Task Force is a recently formed group.  New Professionals include current students and newly licensed LMSWs and LCSWs, regardless of age.

This Task Force gives voice to new professionals across the State and ensures that key programs essential to their needs are created and offered by the NYSSCSW. These include various clinical courses, workshops, and presentations, as well as networking events.  The Task Force will represent their interests at State Board meetings and offer insights regarding their concerns.

The goal is to ensure that our Society continues to evolve and grow effectively as the social work profession continues to face new challenges.

The Task Force is scheduled to meet on a quarterly basis.  At their first meeting held on September 25, 2015, issues discussed included:

- increasing the knowledge of post-Masters trainings that are available throughout the State.

- creating study groups for both LMSW and LCSW exams.

- providing clinical case study workshops for newer clinicians, presented by experienced Society members.
